Assembly of Delegates

The Assembly of Delegates, which is essentially equivalent to a shareholders‘ meeting, is the most senior executive body of the FMC.

The 2010 Assembly of Delegates

Last year the Assembly of Delegates met twice. In addition to the regular business, it also debated raising the retirement age. Various specialist talks and discussions were also held.

Members of the Assembly of Delegates

The 100 delegates constitute the assembly of the Federation of Migros Cooperatives. They were elected by members of the regional Cooperatives for the 2008 to 2012 term of office. Together with the representatives of the regional boards of directors of the ten Cooperatives and the President, they make up the Assembly of Delegates.

Office of the Assembly of Delegates

The Office of the Assembly of Delegates met five times. It prepares the agenda for the Assembly of Delegates and acts as a central interface between the Board of Directors and the Assembly of Delegates.

«Aid Fund» working group

The Aid Fund working group held four meetings in the year under review to advise on payments out of the targeted Aid Fund to organisations in Switzerland and other countries, and to assess appropriate applications.

Working group «Board of Directors’ Report»

The Board of Directors’ Annual Report working group prepared the 2010 annual report and annual financial statements for the Assembly of Delegates, formulating its views on them and making suggestions.
