Assembly of Delegates

The Assembly of Delegates of the Federation of Migros Cooperatives (FMC) is essentially equivalent to a General Assembly and is the senior executive body of the FMC.

In the year under review, the Assembly of Delegates met three times. In the spring, the members and the Chair of the Board of Directors, together with the President of the Assembly of Delegates, were elected for a four-year term of office. The Assembly of Delegates heard a number of specialist reports and also held various discussions.

Members of the Assembly of Delegates

The 100 delegates were elected by the members of the regional Cooperatives for the 2012 to 2016 term of office. Together with the representatives of the regional boards of directors of the ten Cooperatives and the President, these make up the Assembly of Delegates.

Office of the Assembly of Delegates

The Office of the Assembly of Delegates met seven times. It prepares the agenda of the Assembly of Delegates and acts as a central interface between the Board of Directors and the Assembly of Delegates.

«Aid Fund» Working Group

The «Aid Fund» working group held four meetings during the year under review to advise on payments from the targeted Aid Fund in Switzerland and other countries and to assess appropriate applications.

«Board of Directors’ Annual Report» Working Group

The «Board of Directors’ Annual Report» working group held two meetings to discuss the 2012 annual report and financial statements, formulating its views on them and passing these on to the Assembly of Delegates.
