Migros becomes Switzerland's first retailer to use glass doors for refrigeration appliances. Experience shows that this helps to reduce energy consumption by up to 50 per cent.

Migros switches its entire basic coffee range to sustainable production. To this end, Migros cooperates with the non-profit organisation Utz Certified.

Migros acquires a majority stake in Medbase AG, which successfully provides medical and paramedical services. Its share is 53 per cent, split across the four Migros cooperatives of Aare, Lucerne, Eastern Switzerland and Zurich.
 
On 29 December 2010 Migros reduces the prices of 2'247 convenience goods permanently by three to 20 per cent.
