Trainees at Migros

Apprentices are professionally accompanied, trained and individually supported at Migros. Optimum framework conditions and comprehensive, practical training prepare them for a future as independent and skiller professionals.

Thanks to the strong positioning of Migros as the key training provider in Switzerland, the number of apprentices increased to 3386 in 2011, despite the departure of Limmatdruck AG and Zeiler AG and a challenging apprenticeship market. Migros offers young professionals a lot of variety in more than 40 different professions and more than 29 sectors and specialisations. Some 85% of basic training programmes are completed with a Swiss Federal Certificate of Vocational Training and Education and the remaining 15% with a Swiss basic federal certificate. Migros has posted a success rate of more than 97% in its qualification procedures for many years. Migros Group's average rate of apprentices employed after completing their apprenticeship is 62%, depending on the area even 80%.
