Marketing of Training Places and Quality Management
Migros Group's vocational training attracts potential future apprentices via the New Talents platform and numerous activities in social networks. Integrated quality management collects optimisation opportunities to continuously improve vocational training - for a diploma that connects opportunities.
Migros Group’s vocational training has advertised with the New Talents logo and the core messages of Size, Quality, Diversity, Career since 2009. The apprentices are ambassadors for their professions and sectors. On the vocational training website, more than 40 professions that exist within Migros Group are presented; some apprentices also offer an introduction to their specific apprenticeship on the Migros website and on YouTube in authentic videos. The public is hugely interested in these films. To connect to potential future apprentices in locations where they spend a lot of time, Migros Group's vocational training has its own Facebook fan page with up-to-date news, stories from apprentices, images, films and competitions.
In 2011 Migros Group integrated quality management into vocational training under Article 8 Swiss Vocational Training Act (BBG). The quality level was implemented on the basis of clearly defined criteria for apprentices, vocational and practical trainers, heads of vocational training and their supervisors. Determining the quality of the vocational training should make clear the potential for optimisation in order to continuously improve the varied processes in the companies. The individual companies will evaluate their results in 2012 and derive company-specific measures from them.
