Apprentices are professionally accompanied, trained and individually supported at Migros. Optimum framework conditions and comprehensive, practice-oriented training prepare them for a future as independent and competent professionals.
Thanks to the strong positioning of Migros as the key training provider in Switzerland, the promise of the «Generation M» sustainability programme was on course in 2013, despite a challenging apprenticeship market. Migros offers apprenticeships for 3'495 young professionals.
Migros offers young professionals a broad range, with more than 40 different professions in 34 retail, industrial, logistics and service companies. Some 85% of basic training programmes are completed with a Swiss federal certificate of proficiency, of which 4% with a federal vocational diploma and around 15% with a federal vocational certificate. Migros has posted a success rate of more than 96% in its qualification procedures for many years; the average rate of subsequent employment in the Migros Group stands at 64%.
