Sales in the Food segment of the Migros Group remained steady at around CHF 13.3 billion, which represents a slight drop in market share of 0.5 per cent. Denner increased sales by 2.7 per cent while sales in the Retailing segment fell by just under 1 per cent. Migros' Bio (+7 per cent) and Anna's Best (+16 per cent) lines reported very encouraging performance. The new M Classic brand got off to a strong start with sales of over CHF 0.5 billion.
Market shares of the Migros Group in the Non-food segment rose from 12.9 per cent to 13.0 per cent. Specialist markets showed very satisfying performance (+1.6 per cent) despite negative inflation of 2.7 per cent. SportXX and M-Electronics in particular posted positive performance. Market shares of Herren Globus and Ex Libris remained stable.
