Workplace health Management
In 2010 more Migros enterprises were awarded the Friendly Work Space quality seal – for their exemplary Workplace Health Management scheme (WHM). Taken overall, it is clear that systematic workplace health management is firmly established throughout and along the entire supply chain in the Migros Group.
In 2009 the Health Promotion Switzerland Foundation awarded the Friendly Work Space label for the first time to Swiss enterprises which excel in their comprehensive and systematic commitment to the health of their employees on the basis of quality criteria for WHM. A total of 9 Migros enterprises, representing the entire Migros supply chain, have already successfully completed the WHM assessment and been awarded the label. In 2010 alone, 4 Migros enterprises were newly registered as holders of the label. This year, 2 Migros enterprises received the quality seal at an official ceremony. The Migros Cooperative in Geneva was also the first enterprise in French-speaking Switzerland to be awarded the label for making the health of its employees a strategic factor sustainably integral to the overall organisation and management systems (press release of the Health Promotion Switzerland Foundation, 1.12.2010).
