Women in Managerial Posts
Year on year, the proportion of women at board level in 2010 rose by 27.6%. The proportion of women at managerial level has further increased. The proportion of women who have a senior managerial role has risen to over 25%.
The trend characterised by a steady growth in the proportion of women in managerial posts shows that the targeted commitment by Migros to promote the number of women in managerial posts is continuously and steadily bearing fruit. But although Migros is disproportionately well positioned compared to Switzerland as a whole with regard to the proportion of women in managerial posts, its endeavours in the interests of social and economic advantages must be consistently pursued, because true equality of women and men by means of a balanced mix of women and men in managerial posts will in the long term and in every respect lead to better results.
