Social Partnership and CLA

At Migros, social partnership is a stance based on the representativeness and professionalism of hundreds of elected staff representatives who dedicate themselves to the needs of staff, be it on the boards of directors, the personnel policy committees of Migros companies or the National Committee of the Migros Group.

Milestones

For several years now, the national collective labour agreement (N-CLA) of Migros has played a benchmark and pacesetting role for 29 sectors and markets. N-CLA 2011–2014 and CLA Travel 2011–2014, introduced on 1 January 2011, set high standards for working conditions. The 2012–2015 Globus Group CLA, which extends the rights of employees, has been in force since 1 January 2012.

Participation

In 2012 there were 47 personnel policy committees and delegations with 359 members. As democratically elected staff representatives, 141 women and 218 men performed a key role with extensive participation rights at corporate level.

Subordination to Collective Labour Agreement (CLA)

The number of employees covered by a collective labour agreement (CLA) is almost twice as high at Migros as in the rest of Switzerland.
