Leisure facilities – more quality of life for all
In today's hectic world, people need places where they can relax their bodies and minds. Migros has been responding to this need with its leisure facilities since the 1970s. It established itself as a leader in the health and leisure market long before the spa trend began. Thanks to the expansion of its business activities in the preventive medicine area, Migros now operates a wide range of leisure facilities and health centres. It thereby aims to improve the quality of life of everyone and make a specific commitment to public health.
The Migros Retail Committee introduced the Health and Leisure strategy in spring 2013. It shows the possibilities for growth in the sectors of fitness, medical services and golf and how the available potential can be tapped. By enhancing its leading position in the health and leisure market, Migros is striving to be a strong proponent of health. Last but not least, it is also an effective way to stand out among the competition.

Migros Golfparks
«Golf for all» – Migros has been pursuing this goal since 1995 with six Golfparks and two Golfcampuses. With a total of 180 holes, Migros is the largest provider of public golf facilities in Switzerland. The Migros Golfparks play a major part in making the game of golf a mass sport. The Golfparks have been a member of the Swiss Golf Association (ASG) since 2007. With the Migros ASG GolfCard, golfers identify themselves as members of a recognised organisation of golfers who do not belong to a club, including in other countries.
Consistent with the strategic focus on youth promotion, the Migros Golfparks have standardised their junior training and defined clear training standards in collaboration with the ASG/Swiss PGA. In 2013 Golfpark Trophy, Switzerland's biggest golf tournament, was held for the fifth time, setting a new record of 1147 participants. The tournament was played on all six Migros Golfparks throughout Switzerland. For the first time, the Migros Golfparks published an image magazine with information for beginners and professionals, as well as three image films that focused on the excellent value for money that Migros is known for.
