Workforce and Staff Movements
The Migros Group as a whole offers a unique variety of tasks in different roles and professions. In the reporting year, the Migros Group was able to increase its workforce by a total of 7.8% to 94'276 employees.
This is primarily down to the consolidation of the retailer tegut as well as the expansion in individual companies of the Migros Group. Only very sporadic reductions in staff levels were recorded in other companies.
Seen over several years, the period from 2008 to 2013 shows consolidated employment growth of more than 12%, despite the bleak economic environment for much of this time.
