With the expansion of the Medbase Group and strategic partnerships with hospitals and providers of medical services, Migros further enhanced its range of primary care solutions in 2019. With the integration of Topwell Apotheken, Medbase expanded its portfolio to include a new strategic business segment and initiated pioneering steps towards seamless, integrated and innovative medical and pharmaceutical care.
In the reporting year, the health platform iMpuls was conceptually and technically refined and expanded with new content. More than 4 million people have visited the platform to find information on topics relating to nutrition, exercise, relaxation and medicine.
In the area of nutrition, Migros expanded the well-being brand YOU in the reporting year. More than 100 innovative and diverse products are now available, including low-sugar yoghurts, superfood snacks and snacks containing simple, natural ingredients. As part of its health promotion activities, Migros Fitness operates 134 fitness facilities throughout Switzerland.
In 2019, Migros underlined its commitment to health by participating in Kickstart Innovation. Four international start-ups in the areas of online therapy (mental health), artificial intelligence (general health advice) and sensors collaborated with the Medbase Group, Migros Club School and the health platform iMpuls.
